Our overarching vision is a society where healthcare and economic opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of vulnerability. F.S.T.D.D.’s mission is to implement local social initiatives, establish specialized listening and medical centers, and deploy poverty-alleviation frameworks to fully rehabilitate citizens facing temporary or systemic distress.
At Fondation Saint Daniel de Dschang (F.S.T.D.D.), our volunteers are the heartbeat of our field activities. Because we operate both as a legally registered socio-humanitarian association and an authorized medical clinic (Cabinet de Soins Saint Daniel), we offer diverse volunteering tracks tailored to your skills, background, and availability.
Our volunteer efforts are divided into four main pillars:
Working closely under the direct supervision of our General President, M. TEDONZAP Daniel (State Registered Nurse), qualified health volunteers provide essential clinical care to rural and underserved populations.
Vital Signs & Screenings: Assisting in measuring blood pressure, testing blood sugar, and carrying out rapid diagnostic tests (such as malaria or HIV screenings) during mobile health caravans.
Clinical Consultations: Helping licensed staff evaluate patients, manage wounds, and dispense prescribed medications at the Cabinet de Soins Saint Daniel in Minmeto, Dschang.
Health Education: Leading public health talks on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and maternal health.
Mental health and emotional solidarity are vital components of recovery. Our volunteers help restore hope and dignity to individuals experiencing severe distress.
Active Listening: Serving in our dedicated Listening Centers to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space for vulnerable girls, widows, and people living with chronic illnesses.
Trauma & Counseling Support: Working alongside social workers to facilitate group therapy sessions, community support circles, and individual counseling.
Recreational Activities: Organizing educational games, art sessions, and mentoring programs for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OEV).
To break the cycle of poverty, we don’t just provide medical relief—we teach sustainable skills.
Skill-Sharing Workshops: Volunteers with technical or craft experience teach single mothers, widows, and vulnerable youth practical trades such as tailoring, soap making, basic agriculture, or food preservation.
Micro-Business Mentoring: Helping local entrepreneurs understand basic budgeting, inventory management, and marketing so they can manage their own Income-Generating Activities (IGAs).
Every successful campaign requires a strong support system behind the scenes to run smoothly.
Campaign Logistics: Setting up mobile clinic tents, managing inventory, and distributing humanitarian aid packages (food, sanitary kits, and school supplies).
Community Mobilization: Going door-to-door or working with local leaders in Yaoundé and Dschang to raise awareness about upcoming free clinics and health workshops.
Media & Documentation: Capturing high-quality photos, writing impact stories, and helping with administrative tasks to show donors the direct results of our work.
